Welcome! Thanks for visiting my website. I’ve been painting since the late 20th Century and I still really enjoy the process of making my ideas into unique pieces. I’m excited to have been able to create this portal for my art to be observed by eyes worldwide, and beyond..

My origin story begins on the eastern shore of Maryland, in a rural neighborhood during the 1970’s. Most of my days (and some nights) were spent exploring hundreds of acres of forest. A place where a kid can make sense of the world in solitude and also contemplate the weird & inexplicable.

In the early 1990’s I went art school at the Pennsylvania School of Art & Design and got my degree in Fine Art. After graduating in ‘93 I moved to Wilmington, NC and got my first artist studio at a co-op called Acme Art. That same year I was awarded an emerging artists grant which I used to buy a nice easel, the same one I still use today. During those formative years after art school my painting style began to refine into confident, consistent techniques.

Around the turn of the 21st century I moved to Baltimore, MD and started making a living as a decorative artist. That turned into a twenty year career, allowing me to work on once in a life restoration projects including the US Capitol, National Air & Space Museum, and Arlington House.

Observingcraft is a ten year passion project that started with an eight painting Bigfoot series. I became well read in the topic and began traveling to regional conventions. Soon after I began to sell my artwork at events such as the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Convention, AlienCon and CryptidCon.
